Senator Agha Shahzeb Durrani has been elected as the new chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs. Committee members congratulated Agha Shahzeb Durrani on being elected chairman.
During the meeting of Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, members raised the issue of document verification of citizens leaving the country. Senator Anwarul Haq Kakar said that thousands of Pakistani citizens were suffering daily for document verification. People sleep on the streets from night to morning. He said Pakistani citizens in foreign countries were also facing problems.
He said Pakistanis were getting their work done abroad for a bribe of two hundred dollars.
Senator Kakar said that fraud and problems are being faced everywhere. He said that a Pakistani passport was recovered from Taliban commander Mullah Mansour at the time of his death.
Senator Atta-ur-Rehman questioned who gave permission to Mullah Mansoor to come to Pakistan. The committee also raised the issue of verification of students’ documents in universities. The committee chairman said that they will work with the members to find a solution to these problems.
