Alizeh Shah marked her return to Instagram after a month-long absence, uploading fresh photographs to her official account on which she deleted all her previous snaps.
In October 2023, Alizeh had spoken candidly about why she wiped her Instagram clean, revealing that the decision was rooted in emotional turmoil rather than strategy or publicity.
At the time, she shared that she felt both “happy and ashamed” after deleting her posts, admitting she was struggling to understand herself during that period.
“I didn’t understand myself then. Everything I posted was coming from a place of pain,” she said in a video that circulated widely online.
That moment of honesty offered rare insight into the mental and emotional strain the young actress was navigating.
Alizeh had also disclosed that she was living with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), stemming from negative experiences within the entertainment industry.
Those experiences, she explained, left her feeling mentally exhausted and disconnected from her work, even questioning her decision to enter showbiz in the first place.
Once considered among the most prominent faces on Pakistani television, Alizeh has noticeably stepped back from drama projects in recent years. In the absence of on-screen appearances, her public presence has largely been limited to social media, where she has often found herself under scrutiny for her fashion choices.
In earlier statements, she addressed such criticism directly, asserting that her upbringing allowed her independence and self-expression, including the freedom to dress as she chooses.
Her recent return to Instagram is not the first time she has reset her digital footprint. Alizeh has deleted all posts on at least two previous occasions — in September last year and again in April — each time signaling a need for distance rather than disappearance.
In her October remarks, she hinted that when she did return, it would not be as the same version of herself, saying clearly that “the old Alizeh or old photos will not come back.”
