Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited Gujranwala and Sialkot Garrisons to review operational readiness, reaffirming the Pakistan Army’s focus on modern warfare demands and national security.
According to ISPR, Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited the Gujranwala and Sialkot Garrisons on December 13. Upon arrival, he was briefed on the formation’s operational preparedness and key initiatives aimed at strengthening combat readiness.
Observation of field, simulator-based training
During the visit, the Field Marshal witnessed a field training exercise along with an advanced simulator training facility. He lauded the formation’s high professional standards and overall state of readiness, appreciating the effective integration of modern training methods.
Highlighting the changing nature of conflict, Field Marshal Asim Munir emphasized the importance of technological adaptability.
He noted that modern warfare demands agility, precision, situational awareness, and swift decision-making to effectively counter emerging threats.
Interaction with officers, troops
While interacting with officers and soldiers, the army chief praised their high morale and steadfast commitment to national security. He underscored the importance of rigorous, mission-oriented training to maintain operational excellence across all formations.
He also reiterated that the Pakistan Army remains fully focused on addressing both internal and external challenges. He specifically highlighted hostile hybrid campaigns, extremist ideologies, and divisive elements that seek to undermine national stability.
Earlier, upon his arrival in Gujranwala, Field Marshal Asim Munir was received by the Gujranwala Corps Commander. The visit reaffirmed the Army’s continued emphasis on preparedness, professionalism, and safeguarding Pakistan’s security interests.
