CDWP approves four projects worth over Rs10 billion

The Central Development Working Party has approved four projects worth 10.551 billion rupees for the national development.

The CDWP, which met in Islamabad on Friday with Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal in the chair, also recommended another four projects worth 256 billion rupees for further consideration by the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council.

The forum approved the construction of graduate block in NCA Lahore at a cost of 1,607.314 million rupees. Punjab Family Planning Program costing 4,282.350 million rupees, Project Readiness Financing for Punjab Water Resources Management worth 1,673.328 million rupees, and Hosting Community Support Program valued at 2,988 million rupees also got CDWP nod.

Besides, the forum referred “Prime Minister’s Pakistan Fund for Education” worth 14,000 million rupees, expansion of the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology and National Institute of Heart Diseases Rawalpindi costing 12,948.434 million rupees, Karachi Urban Mobility Project worth 178,592.836 million rupees, and Upgradation of NTDC’s Telecommunications and SCADA System valuing 50,374.200 million rupees to ECNEC for further consideration.
