Film ‘Mera Layari’ set to release next month to counter Indian propaganda

KARACHI: The Sindh government has announced release of film ‘Mera Layari’ in the first week of January to counter negative propaganda against Lyari in Indian film ‘Dharandhar’.

Sindh Minister Sharjeel Memon has said the film will be released internationally, adding India suffered a humiliating defeat in the war against Pakistan, and it could not turn its defeat into victory through films.

Sharjeel Memon said that the Indian film ‘Dharandhar’ is negative propaganda against Pakistan, especially Lyari. Lyari is not a symbol of violence but of culture, peace, capability and courage, the minister noted.

He said the film ‘Mera Layari’, which will be released next month, will show the true face of Lyari. ‘Mera Layari’ will show a glimpse of peace, prosperity and pride.

The propaganda film Dharandhar was released in India recently and Ranveer Singh, Akshay Khanna, R Madhoon, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt and others played the lead roles in this film.
