Actor Shraddha Kapoor has responded with warmth and humour after a recent Kaun Banega Crorepati episode featured a contestant declaring himself to be her most devoted admirer, and even expressing a wish to take her out for coffee.
Instead of engaging with the fan’s proposal, Shraddha turned the spotlight back on the show’s host, revealing that she would rather share a coffee with Amitabh Bachchan himself.
During the episode, the contestant candidly told Amitabh Bachchan that his admiration for Shraddha Kapoor surpassed that of any other fan. He went on to say, “Muje lagta he mere jaisa craziest fan unka (Shraddha) koi ho hi nahi sakta. Sir, chota mooh badi baat ho jayegi but main Shraddha ji ko sirf ek baar date pe le jaana chahunga (I don’t think that there is another fan as crazy as me. It would sound like a stretch but one day I want to take Shraddha out on a date).”
Amused, Amitabh Bachchan followed up by asking the contestant whether he knew who Shraddha’s father was.
The contestant confidently replied that he did, naming Shakti Kapoor and even referencing his iconic character Crimemaster Gogo. Smiling at the exchange, Amitabh then turned to the camera and made a light-hearted appeal, asking Shraddha to consider the fan’s request if she happened to be watching the show, suggesting that she go on a coffee date with him.
The contestant beamed and thanked the veteran actor. The moment was later shared by Sony TV on its official Instagram account.
