Lahore divided into 40 Red Zones for Basant

Final preparations to celebrate the Basant festival in Lahore are currently under way at 40 locations, which were declared as the Red Zones, it was on Monday.

Lahore police finalized a security plan and constituted joint teams of police and traffic for this purpose.

These Red Zones were constituted keeping in view the loss of lives while kite flying. Citizens should now be allowed to install barriers on their motorcycles.

Police officials said that the transposition of strings and kites can be done after permission is granted.

Nowadays, there is a complete ban on kite flying. After the issuance of the notification by the Punjab government, kite flying will be allowed.

Strict monitoring will be conducted through CCTV cameras in which will be installed in the Safe City Zones.
