Fears were raised about the failure of the Sui Southern Gas Compnay’s liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) project after the federal government announced to continue the uninterrupted supply of gas for 12 hours daily to domestic consumers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
The interrupted gas supply badly affected the sale of gas cylinders to consumers. The SSGC also planned to supply LPG cylinders to consumers at their doorsteps on OGRA prices.
Before this, the federal government announced a schedule for the supply of gas to domestic consumers at morning, afternoon, and evening timings.
Due to low gas pressure, consumers were preferring to purchase LPG cylinders. Due to an interrupted gas supply to consumers from 5 am to 10 pm, a marginal decrease was witnessed in the sale of LPY cylinders.
