Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir emphasized that Balochistan holds a central position in Pakistan’s prosperity and development.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that participants of the 18th National Workshop visited General Headquarters (GHQ) where they met with the field marshal.
During his address, detailed discussions were held on the socio-economic development of Balochistan and its strategic importance. Field Marshal
Munir paid tribute to the patriotism, patience, resilience, and steadfastness of the people of Balochistan.
He expressed satisfaction over people-friendly development initiatives undertaken by the federal and provincial governments and stressed that Balochistan’s economic potential must be effectively utilized for the benefit of the local population.
The Field Marshal also appreciated the positive and responsible role of civil society in exposing negative propaganda.
Highlighting the resolve of the nation, he said the people of Balochistan are patriotic and courageous, and underscored the need to reject self-serving political agendas.
Field Marshal Munir stated that India-backed proxies are spreading unrest in Balochistan, adding that security forces remain fully committed to eliminating terrorism and instability. He warned that any violation of
Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity would be met with a strong and decisive response.
He reaffirmed that Pakistan’s armed forces are determined to protect the lives and property of citizens and will continue to safeguard national integrity at all costs.
