Dar returns home after attending Pak-China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue in Beijing

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has returned to Islamabad after completing the 7th round of the Pakistan-China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue held in Beijing, the Foreign Office said on Monday.

Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi stated that Ishaq Dar was the first high-ranking foreign official to visit China in 2026, describing the visit as a clear manifestation of the deep-rooted mutual trust and strength of Pakistan-China relations.

According to the spokesperson, the Strategic Dialogue provided a comprehensive review of all aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries. Both sides reiterated their firm commitment to further strengthening the all-weather strategic cooperative partnership.

The two countries also agreed to enhance cooperation across a range of development sectors, including trade, investment, agriculture, industry, and regional connectivity. The dialogue emphasized expanding practical collaboration to support shared development goals.

Tahir Andrabi added that during the visit, Dar held bilateral meetings with the Chinese leadership, focusing on regional and global issues of mutual interest. Both Pakistan and China reaffirmed their resolve to advance a partnership based on common interests, regional stability, and a shared future.
