The Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) has sought permission from Sindh government to hold a public rally in Karachi on January 11 (Sunday), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The permission was sought on the eve of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi’s visit to Karachi.
In this regard, PTI Karachi President Raja Azhar and Secretary General Arsalan Khalid wrote a letter to Deputy Commissioner East.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf sought permission for a public meeting at Bagh-e-Jinnah adjacent to Mazar-e-Quaid.
The PTI leadership ensured in the letter that meeting will be peaceful and the code of conduct will be fully implemented.
A positive decision of the district administration regarding the meeting is awaited, text of letter said.
