Nawaz Sharif meets business leaders during UAE visit

Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif met several prominent Pakistani and Emirati business figures during a private visit to the United Arab Emirates.

Accompanied by his son-in-law Ali Dar, Nawaz Sharif held informal meetings with members of the regional business community over a period of four days. Sources familiar with the engagements said the interactions reflected long-standing personal and commercial relationships maintained by the Sharif family with influential figures in the region.

During the visit, Nawaz Sharif also met Naseer Lootah and his son Abdullah Lootah, who serves as the chairman of Summit Bank. The meeting highlighted enduring ties between the Sharif family and prominent Emirati business circles.

As part of his engagements, Nawaz Sharif paid a visit to the residence of Sohail Galadari, owner of a local media group, to inquire about his health and convey well wishes for a swift recovery.

Ali Dar, who is the eldest son of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, has maintained close family ties with Nawaz Sharif. He and his wife Asma Sharif had previously lived in London during Nawaz Sharif’s period of self-exile, which ended approximately three years ago.

Following their return, Ali Dar has been dividing his time between Lahore and Dubai, where his younger brother Hasnain Dar has been running business operations for nearly two decades.
