Pakistan clinched the Under-19 One-Day tri-nation series emphatically, defeating hosts Zimbabwe by nine wickets in the final on Tuesday, 24NewsHD TV reported.
Chasing a modest 158-run target, Pakistan U-19 reached the total comfortably in just 16.2 overs, losing only one wicket.
Sameer Munhas starred with a magnificent unbeaten 114, laced with 17 fours and five sixes, while Mohammad Shayan provided solid support with 38 runs.
Earlier, after winning the toss, Pakistan invited Zimbabwe to bat first.
The hosts were bowled out for 158 in 44.4 overs.
Michael Blignaut top-scored with 60 runs, while Taitenda Chemogoroh remained not out on 28. Benny Zuze (16) and Leroy Chiwoza (15) were the only other batters to reach double figures, as seven Zimbabwe players failed to enter double figures.
Pakistan’s bowling attack delivered a disciplined performance, with Umar Zaib claiming four wickets, Abdul Subhan taking two, while Mohammad Siyam, Daniyal Ali Khan and Ahmed Hussain picked up one wicket each.
Meanwhile, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi congratulated the Pakistan Under-19 team on their series triumph in Zimbabwe.
In a message shared on social media platform X, he praised the youngsters for raising the nation’s pride through their hard work, passion and skill.

The PCB chief paid special tribute to Sameer Munhas for his outstanding batting display and also commended captain Farhan Yousaf, along with the entire team and management, for their collective effort.
