PAF chief meets Saudi military leadership to strengthen defence ties

Pakistan Air Force Chief of Air Staff Zaheer Ahmed Babar held a series of key meetings with Saudi military leadership after arriving in Saudi Arabia, underscoring the growing strategic partnership between the two countries.

Upon his arrival, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar was warmly received by Saudi Chief of Staff Fayyad Al-Ruwaili. The reception reflected the longstanding and close defence relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, both military leaders discussed Pak-Saudi military relations along with other important regional and professional matters of mutual interest.

Focus on Pak-Saudi military relations

 

The discussions centered on strengthening existing defence cooperation and enhancing institutional linkages between the armed forces of both countries. Issues of shared strategic concern and future collaboration frameworks were also reviewed.

 

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close coordination in the evolving regional security environment.

Meeting with Saudi Air Force Commander

 

Air Chief Marshal Babar also met Saudi Air Force Commander Turki bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz. Senior military officers from both the Pakistan Air Force and the Royal Saudi Air Force were present during the engagement.

It was mutually agreed to further promote bilateral cooperation between the Pakistan and Saudi Air Forces, with emphasis on professional collaboration, capacity building, and shared operational experience.

The high-level engagements highlight the depth of Pak-Saudi defence ties and the shared resolve to expand cooperation across multiple domains. The visit reflects continued efforts by both sides to strengthen military-to-military relations and enhance interoperability between their air forces.
