Karachi’s Gadap area witnessed another incident of stray dog attacks, with eight more people bitten, raising the total number of dog-bite cases in the area to 858.
According to local sources, the latest victims include five children and three women, highlighting growing concerns over public safety, particularly for vulnerable groups. The injured were promptly shifted to Gadap Hospital, where they received medical treatment.
Gadap Assistant Commissioner Shah Mureed took immediate notice of the incident and directed health authorities to ensure the availability of vaccines. Officials confirmed that anti-rabies vaccines were provided to all affected individuals without delay.
Residents have expressed serious concern over the rising number of stray dog attacks in the area and have called on the authorities to take effective measures to control the situation and prevent further incidents.
The district administration has assured that steps are being taken to address the issue and to ensure timely medical care for victims, while efforts are expected to be intensified to protect residents from future attacks.
