Maryam says Punjab women can transform province

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has urged the women of the province to remain steadfast, saying their courage and hard work can transform Punjab’s destiny.

Addressing the gathering, Maryam Nawaz praised the capabilities and determination of Punjab’s women. “If Punjab’s daughters stand firm and work hard, the destiny of this province can change. Every dream can become a reality,” she said.

She emphasized that women have the power to bring significant achievements in every field and urged them to remain confident in their abilities.

Health initiatives to reach every home

The chief minister highlighted ongoing reforms in the health sector, promising proactive steps to bring medical services closer to citizens. “We will not wait for sick people to come to hospitals. Instead, our hospitals will go to the people,” she said.

Maryam Nawaz detailed plans to deploy 25,000 community health workers across Punjab, ensuring that diseases are monitored and treated at the local level. Field hospitals will visit every village and neighborhood, and the widely acclaimed Clean Punjab project will complement these efforts.

She explained that bringing healthcare directly to people will help identify emerging health issues and allow timely measures to be taken.

Maryam Nawaz also addressed health workers’ salaries, saying, “If you work hard and perform well, I will personally increase your salary. Right now, it is 50,000, but it can go higher based on your work.”

The Chief Minister further announced the expansion of health infrastructure, including the construction of cardiology hospitals across the province. She specifically mentioned the new Cardiology Hospital in Jhang, stressing the government’s commitment to providing specialized healthcare.

“Just as I stand here as one Maryam, all of you Maryams are standing here today. Together, we can achieve progress for Punjab,” she added.
