The Balochistan government has decided to introduce electric bike scheme for the common man.

The provincial cabinet meeting chaired by Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti in Quetta on Friday decided to provide electric bikes to students, working women and government employees with 30 percent subsidy. provincial cabinet decides

The cabinet agreed that electric bikes will also be provided to common citizens on easy installments and the scheme will be implemented under bank financing.

About 250,000 provincial government employees spend Rs6 to 7 billion annually on their medical treatment, cabinet meeting revealed.

Provincial cabinet also decided to introduce health insurance scheme for government employees.

Cabinet meeting further decided to audit advance medical payments and public endowment fund.

Provincial cabinet approved extension of Enterprises Development Programme to Gwadar, Kech and Awaran.

For promotion of meritocracy, cabinet agreed on appointments on merit for Balochistan.

Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti addressing provincial cabinet meeting said thanks to Prime Minister for cooperation in communication and education projects for Balochistan.

He said electric bikes will be given to people from all walks of life on easy installments.

The resources obtained from the taxes of the common man are the trust of the people, Chief Minister said.

He said it is unfair that the common poor man of Balochistan should suffer and a large part of the resources should be spent on a specific class.

Mir Sarfaraz Bugti said a comprehensive health insurance scheme is being introduced for the treatment of government employees.

The Enterprises Development Program will show the path to economic stability to more and more youth of Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti said.

He said establishment of good governance is conditional on meritocracy.

Mir Sarfaraz Bugti said Balochistan cabinet reiterates firm commitment to promote merit and will ensure implementation.
