Pakistani students who had been stranded in Afghanistan for the past three months have been allowed to return home through the Torkham border, officials said on Monday.
The return process began today at the Torkham border in Landi Kotal, where 28 Pakistani students crossed into Pakistan. Authorities said special arrangements have been made to facilitate the students’ return.
According to officials, the Torkham border will remain open for the return of Pakistani students on January 12 and 13. The return of stranded students has been scheduled on these two days to ensure a smooth and orderly process.
Officials in Landi Kotal confirmed that the border will remain open on the designated dates to allow all remaining students to return to the country.
