DUBAI: The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday announced the sale of additional tickets for the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, which is scheduled to commence on 7 February. According to a press release issued by the global governing body for cricket, fans can now purchase additional tickets for the marquee tournament at affordable prices.
“The tournament kickstarting from February 7 had generated a buzz since they first went live in December. This included more than two million tickets up for grabs from games across the eight venues in India and Sri Lanka,” the ICC said in its statement.
The ICC said it is prioritising fan access worldwide by introducing record affordable ticket prices for the tournament. Ticket prices will start at just INR 100 in India, approximately $1.11, and LKR 1,000 in Sri Lanka, approximately $3.26.
The 10th edition of the Men’s T20 World Cup is set to begin on 7 February 2026 across India and Sri Lanka. The highly anticipated tournament will continue until March 8, with 20 teams competing for the title. Matches will be hosted across eight stadiums in Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kandy and Colombo.
The opening match is scheduled for 8 February in Sri Lanka, where Pakistan will take on the Netherlands. Later the same day, the action will shift to India, with two-time champions West Indies facing Bangladesh. The opening day will conclude in the evening as hosts and defending champions India face the United States in Mumbai.
