The final plan to develop a 275-acre entertainment district along the River Ravi has been completed, with National Engineering Services Pakistan (NESPAK) submitting detailed designs and planning documents to the government.
According to sources, Habib Real Estate Management Limited and Wellt Connect Private Limited have shown interest in investing in the large-scale project, which aims to transform the area into a modern recreational and commercial hub.
The proposed development includes a theme park, water park, sports arena, and other modern entertainment zones, as well as an open amphitheatre, concert hall, and exhibition hall to host events and cultural activities. Plans also suggest the inclusion of an aquarium and an underwater zoo, adding unique attractions for residents and tourists alike.
In addition to leisure facilities, the entertainment district will feature a shopping mall, a lakefront commercial strip, cafes, and restaurants, creating a mixed-use destination that combines recreation with retail and dining.
Under the development structure, the Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) will provide the land and trunk infrastructure, while the private sector will be responsible for design, construction, operation, and sales. Revenue models under consideration include outright sale and joint venture agreements, with RUDA expected to retain a 20% share in joint ventures, officials said.
The project is planned near the Lahore–Sialkot Motorway in the Ravi City area, offering strategic connectivity to major urban centres and positioning the entertainment district as a landmark destination for the region.
Officials emphasised that the project is expected to boost tourism, create jobs, and contribute to economic activity by attracting both local visitors and out-of-town tourists.
