Local government elections in the federal capital postponed once again as Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) withdrew schedule for local government elections in Islamabad.
According to a statement released in Islamabad on Friday, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has recalled the election program of local government elections in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).
Referring to the promulgation of Islamabad Capital Territory Local Government (Amendment) Ordinance, 2026, the notification said this has changed the structure of local governments and mode of local government elections in Islamabad Capital Territory.
