Salman Khan made Karan Johar cry on ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ set

Bollywood director and producer Karan Johar recently shared a heartfelt story from the set of his iconic film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.He revealed that superstar Salman Khan’s first-day decision on the set of the song Sajan Ji Ghar Aaye made him cry.

Karan Johar is known for blockbuster films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. He has given Bollywood numerous hits but has also faced a few flops.Recently, Johar hosted a podcast for a well-known clothing brand. His guests included Niti Mohan, Shakti Mohan, and Makti Mohan. The discussion focused on Bollywood wedding songs.

During the episode, Johar recalled the shooting of Sajan Ji Ghar Aaye. He explained it was his first film with Salman Khan. He was nervous because Salman was a huge star.On the first day, Johar entered Salman’s vanity van. He saw Salman casually dressed in a T-shirt and jeans.

Johar told Salman that the song would be shot on a grand, elaborate set. He expected the groom to match the heroine’s opulent outfit. Kajol, the heroine, wore a stunning lehenga.Salman replied calmly, “Yes, but if the groom comes in jeans and a T-shirt for the first time, it will be a new style. I’ll bring the swag.”

Johar was shocked. He could not imagine the casual outfit on the glamorous set. He felt overwhelmed.He admitted that he lost control of his emotions. Johar started crying right in front of Salman in the vanity van.

Seeing this, Salman immediately agreed to wear a suit for the shoot. This gesture calmed Johar and saved the scene.Johar’s story gives fans a rare glimpse behind the scenes of Bollywood. It shows the pressures directors feel on major film sets.
