The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) continues to operate an effective 24/7 real-time surveillance system across the province through advanced drone technology. This initiative aims to prevent crime, identify crime hotspots, and ensure public safety. Over the past three days, drone operations conducted in various districts enabled timely detection of multiple traffic, security and civic order violations, leading to immediate and effective enforcement actions.
According to a PSCA spokesperson, drone surveillance successfully identified serious issues such as kite flying, one-way violations, encroachments, and open manholes. In Lahore, prompt action was taken against kite flying in areas including Kahna, Baghbanpura, Harbanspura, Gajjumata, and Ferozepur Road. With the cooperation of local police, violators were arrested and shifted to police stations.
Similarly, in Baghbanpura, GT Road Lahore, and Harbanspura, police carried out swift enforcement actions following real-time drone alerts. During drone monitoring in Gajjumata, Ferozepur Road, and Iqbal Town, violations related to air pollution, transportation of construction material in uncovered trucks and sanitation issues were also identified. The concerned departments were immediately informed to take corrective measures.
The spokesperson added that effective actions were taken against traffic and security violations in Multan, Gujrat, Jhang, and Sheikhupura, while joint operations with field police were conducted against wrong parking in Dera Ghazi Khan, Muzaffargarh, Okara, and Sahiwal. The PSCA spokesperson further stated that drone operations are playing a vital role in crime detection, traffic improvement, and public safety.
Through advanced drone monitoring, encroachments, smog-causing elements, and crime hotspots are being identified, enabling timely and preventive actions. Punjab Safe Cities Authority remains committed to leveraging modern technology to safeguard citizens’ lives and property along with further strengthening law and order situation across the punjab.
