The provincial capital Lahore and various cities of Punjab receive rain on Thursday which turned the weather pleasant as well as chilly.
Pakistan Meteorological Department’s has predicted rain and thunderstorms across Punjab, Khyber Paktunkhawa and upper areas of the country including AJK and Gilgit Baltistan from January 21 due to an approaching western weather system. Rain was also reported in Khushab, Sargodha, Faisalabad Gijranwala and Lahore region.
Rain and snowfall have started in Murree and Abbottabad. After the rain and snowfall, the intensity of the cold has increased. As soon as the snowfall began, tourists gathered on Murree Road from hotels. Despite the cold weather, heavy machinery has also been brought to remove snow from Abbottabad.
Light snowfall begins in Murree city. Large number of tourists come out on Mall Road. Rush is being seen at hotels and cafes.
