The district administration has extended Section 144 across Rawalpindi city for a further 15 days, effective until February 6, according to an official notification issued on Monday.
Deputy Commissioner Hassan Waqar Cheema announced that the extension has been imposed in the interest of maintaining law and order.
Under the notification, a complete ban on rallies and public gatherings will remain in force during the period. The administration has also prohibited the display of weapons and banned the use of loudspeakers within the city limits.
Authorities warned that strict action would be taken against violators under relevant laws, urging citizens to cooperate with the administration to ensure public safety and order.
