Pakistani martial artist sets historic milestone with 150 Guinness World Records

Pakistani martial artist Rashid Naseem has become the first athlete from the country to set 150 individual Guinness World Records, Guinness World Records (GWR) confirmed on Wednesday.

Rashid sealed the landmark feat by shattering multiple records, including delivering 340 full-extension punches in one minute while holding a one-kilogram weight.

He also added new records in specialised categories involving egg-and-walnut and nunchaku techniques.

All achievements are now officially listed on the Guinness World Records website.

In 2025 alone, Guinness approved 31 of Rashid’s records, following 28 confirmed records in 2024.

Rashid dedicated his 150th Guinness World Record to Palestine.

Despite earning global recognition for Pakistan, Rashid said he has yet to receive formal appreciation or acknowledgement from the government.

Rashid holds world records across a wide range of disciplines, including punching, martial arts, breaking techniques, knee strikes, stick fighting, nunchaku, skipping and jumping jacks.

He has also defeated Indian competitors on more than 40 occasions and surpassed records previously held by athletes from China, the United States, England, Iran and Switzerland.

Guinness World Records also highlighted Rashid’s achievements alongside those of his daughter during its 70th anniversary celebrations in November 2025.
