Rain, snowfall forecast across Pakistan during Feb 1-3

Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Disaster Management Authority has predicted widespread rain and snowfall in several regions of the country, with the spell expected to continue during February 1-3.

According to the Meteorological Department, a westerly wind will enter the country from the night of January 30. Light to moderate snowfall is expected in the mountainous areas of Azad Kashmir from February 1 to 3. Roads in the mountainous areas will be closed due to snowfall and there is a risk of slippage. There is a risk of landslides in upper areas. The tourists and travelers should exercise caution while traveling to mountainous areas. The district administration, Rescue 1122 and related departments are instructed to remain on high alert.
