FPCCI hails power cut for industry, blue passport for top exporters

FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh has lauded Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for introducing power cut for the industrial sector.

Addressing a press briefing at FPCCI Islamabad office, Atif Ikram  said that the government took step for the betterment of the industry by reducing power prices by Rs4.04 per unit. FPCCI president said that power cut will improve the industry which was hit hard by rising power bills.

He also praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for provision of blue passport to the top importers which will promote competition in the industry.

Business group leader urged the government to further announce cut in key rates and try to bring it to single digit so that wheel of the economy can move on slowly and gradually. FPCCI further demanded that super tax recovery should be delay as this move will create liquidity crisis.

He demanded that industrial estates should be established in all districts which will create job opportunities and population pressure on big cities will be reduced.

FPCCI President also lauded Filed Marshal Asim Munir and Prime Minister for listening to the demands of the traders.
