Pakistan, Canada agreed to enhance cooperation in trade, investment and agriculture and in this regard an important meeting of Canadian High Commissioner with Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan was held on Saturday.
According to Ministry of Commerce, Pakistan sought partnership with Canada in mining and minerals sector and Canada offered Pakistan support in modern mining technology and training.
During Pakistan’s participation in PDAC conference in Toronto Pakistan emphasized on ties with Canadian companies.

Modern technology and animal genetics were discussed in dairy and livestock development.
Canadian investment in renewable energy, regulatory stability emphasized in meeting.
Progress on Pakistan-Canada Bilateral Investment Treaty was also reviewed in the meeting.
Reaffirmed commitment to strengthen private sector linkages and institutional cooperation Prime Minister’s Coordinator for Trade Rana Ehsan Afzal was also present at the meeting.
