Former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry was indicted on Tuesday in a fraud case registered at Aabpara Police Station.
The case was heard by Judicial Magistrate Shaista Kundi at the District and Sessions Courts Islamabad, where Fawad Chaudhry appeared in person. He denied the allegations of fraud leveled against him.
The court summoned prosecution witnesses for tomorrow and also scheduled arguments on an acquittal application filed by Chaudhry. The plaintiff, Malik Muhammad Zaheer, along with his lawyer Farhan Manzoor, was present during the hearing.
The next hearing of the case has been adjourned until February 4.
