The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has sold its international media rights for the upcoming 11th edition at a record value, underlining the tournament’s expanding global footprint, it was reported on Tuesday.
The one-year agreement for global media rights, excluding the India region, was awarded to Walee Technologies after the company submitted the highest bid, exceeding the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) reserve price.
On a like-for-like basis, the deal represents a 149% increase compared with the previous cycle.
Preparations for PSL 11 are progressing steadily, with the tournament scheduled to be played from March 26 to May 3.
The players’ auction is set for February 11.
PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer said the sharp rise in international media rights value reflected growing global confidence in the league.
“We are extremely pleased with the outcome of the international media rights sale, which has delivered a remarkable 149% increase over the last cycle for the same regions,” Naseer said.
“This growth validates the PSL brand, its competitive quality, and its increasing appeal to cricket fans worldwide.”
He added that sustained international interest reinforced confidence in the league’s long-term commercial prospects and its ability to deliver value across diverse global markets.
Naseer also praised Walee Technologies for submitting a record-breaking bid, noting that the continued rise in media rights value was the result of collective efforts by franchises, players and commercial partners in building the PSL into a globally recognised cricketing property.
Walee Technologies Chief Executive Officer Muhammad Ahsan Tahir described the agreement as a milestone for Pakistani innovation and technology.
“This is a victory for every Pakistani who believes in ‘Made in Pakistan’ technology,” Tahir said. “This is just the beginning of our HBL PSL journey, and we have extensive plans for the league.”
