CEO of Karachi Electric (KE) Syed Moonis Alvi, who is presently in Saudi Arabia for performing Umrah, has resigned from his post, it was reported on Thursday.
Sources have told the 24News TV channel that the CEO has sent his resignation to the company’s Board for acceptance.
They have informed that after the acceptance of his resignation by the Board, the Pakistan Stock Exchange will be intimated about that.
Sources have elaborated that Alvi served at K-Electric for 18 years, and remained its CEO for the longest period of time, totaling eight years.
During his stint as the CEO, line losses came down, and the company’s network of generation, transmission and distribution also expanded considerably.
Similarly, courtesy an internationally acclaimed programme, Roshni Baji, the representation of women in the company’s workforce increased.
