Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Saturday held a meeting with the Russian Ambassador to Pakistan, Albert P. Khorev, to discuss the current state of relations between the two countries.
According to the Foreign Office, the meeting covered all key areas of Pakistan–Russia ties, including diplomatic cooperation and mutual interests. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far and agreed to continue working closely to further strengthen bilateral relations.
During the meeting, Ambassador Khorev conveyed heartfelt condolences over the loss of lives in the recent suicide blast in Islamabad. He expressed solidarity with the families of the victims and reiterated Russia’s support for Pakistan during this difficult time.
The Foreign Office spokesperson said that Pakistan’s firm commitment to fighting terrorism in all its forms was also emphasized. The two sides reaffirmed their resolve to enhance mutual engagement and cooperation in the days ahead.
