Tabish Hashmi, Pakistan’s beloved host known for Hasna Mana Hai, is stepping into the film industry with a notable debut. Renowned for his wit and stand-up comedy, Hashmi has interviewed some of the country’s biggest stars and is now set to play a key role in an upcoming feature film.
The film, Aag Lagay Basti Mein, marks Fahad Mustafa’s return to cinemas and his debut as a producer. Mahira Khan stars alongside him, while Hashmi takes on a prominent negative role, adding a new dimension to his career. Fans are excited to see his take on acting.
When asked about his nerves regarding the debut, Hashmi humorously replied that Fahad Mustafa, as the producer, should be the one worried since he’s the one investing in the project. “I’m just doing my part with what I’ve been given,” Hashmi said, bringing laughter to everyone present.
Pakistani comedian and TV host Tabish Hashmi has openly criticized government authorities over the recurring tragedies in Karachi. His remarks came following the recent Gul Plaza fire and other incidents that have raised public concern about city management.
Speaking on the program ‘Report Card’, Hashmi said that “there is hardly a home in Karachi that does not have something from Gul Plaza.” He reflected on how, from his childhood to his youth and now in his later years, the associations and institutions in Karachi are slowly disappearing.
