Prime Minister’s Advisor on Political and Public Affairs Rana Sanaullah Khan has assured that all possible medical facilities will be provided to the PTI founder.
He was responding to points raised by the Leader of the Opposition in the Senate today.
The Advisor said the report submitted to the Supreme Court by Amicus Curiae Salman Safdar has confirmed that all necessary facilities, including cleanliness, kitchen arrangements, and provision of breakfast, lunch, and dinner, are being ensured for the PTI founder in prison.
Rana Sanaullah said the report has dispelled negative propaganda in this regard. He added that all necessary measures will be taken in light of the report and the directions of the apex court.
He urged the opposition to refrain from politicizing the health of any individual. The House passed three bills, including “The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Amendment) Bill, 2026”, “The Newspaper Employees (Conditions of Service) (Amendment) Bill, 2026” and “The Pakistan Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2026.”
The House has been adjourned to meet again tomorrow at 10:30 in the morning.
Earlier, Senate session on Thursday commenced at 3:07 pm with Syed Waqar Mehdi in the Chair. The House was set to take up the Question Hour, motions, presentation of reports of the standing committees, and various items of legislative business. The agenda also included bills passed by the National Assembly and transmitted to the Senate, along with calling attention notices and other parliamentary proceedings.
