Pakistan, UAE leaders strengthen ties in telephone talks

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday held a telephone conversation with the President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations and mutual cooperation.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, both leaders emphasised the importance of consolidating the longstanding friendship between Pakistan and the UAE. The conversation highlighted the successful outcomes of the recent visit of the UAE President to Pakistan, including engagements in Islamabad and Rahim Yar Khan.

PM Shehbaz praised the UAE for its support during challenging times, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to further deepening the brotherly relations between the two nations. Both sides acknowledged the role of continued collaboration in areas of shared interest.

The Prime Minister’s Office stated that both leaders discussed ongoing matters of mutual concern and agreed to maintain close and continuous contacts between Islamabad and Abu Dhabi, reinforcing a framework of strategic cooperation.
