PTI to act against Gandapur over remarks on Imran Khan’s family

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to initiate action against senior party leader Ali Amin Gandapur over his recent statements concerning Bushra Bibi and Aleema Khan. The decision was made after the party’s central leadership reviewed his remarks and related interviews.

According to sources, the leadership sought complete details of Gandapur’s public statements and video clips before reaching a conclusion. After examining the material, party officials agreed that disciplinary action should be taken. The matter was discussed following recent meetings held at Adiala.

PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan said the party would not tolerate any comments about the family of the PTI founder, stressing that respect for personal matters must be maintained. Meanwhile, Secretary General Salman Akram Raja said Gandapur had made several remarks and assured that the party would respond appropriately at the right time.

Party leaders indicated that further steps would be announced after completing the internal review process.

Moreover, Senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, has said that Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi consistently tried to help secure the release of PTI founder Imran Khan from jail and reduce political tensions in the country.

Speaking to the media, Gandapur claimed that the government’s negotiation committee formed to discuss the PTI founder’s release was also created due to Naqvi’s efforts. He said Naqvi played what he described as a positive role during the process, adding that leaders from different political parties agreed that there should be no retaliatory actions and that the PTI founder should be freed.

Gandapur further stated that PTI’s protest campaign would continue until their demands related to the party founder’s health are accepted. He emphasized that the party would not end its sit-in until authorities respond to their concerns and provide the necessary assurances regarding his condition.

Moreover, Former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur expressed serious concerns about the handling of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder’s health and highlighted what he called weaknesses in both federal and provincial political strategies.

Speaking to the media in Islamabad, Gandapur said that the party’s pressure was not strong enough to achieve results. “This is our weakness,” he admitted. He added that instead of securing the release of the PTI founder, leaders have only been able to arrange meetings. “This is a shortcoming for all of us,” he said.

Gandapur stressed the importance of political leverage. He noted that a majority government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has the ability to assert its demands. Recalling his tenure as Chief Minister, he said that the provincial government had initially not received funds from the federal government. “I ensured those funds were released. The world works this way: the strong are heard, the weak must accept decisions,” he said.
