Strict verification of illegal Afghan nationals under way in five districts

Verification of illegal Afghan citizens has been further tightened and Rangers, police, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and intelligence agencies have jointly conducted operations in five districts for the arrest of Afghan nationals, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

According to report, more than 2,000 personnel mobilized in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum and Chakwal.

Strict surveillance is being carried out in 449 places of worship, markets and residential areas during Ramadan.

Identification of illegal Afghan citizens, document verification and phased legal action will continue.

Search operation was launched in Tarnol area of ​​Islamabad and dozens of places were checked and house-to-house documents were verified.

Joint operation was also conducted in Dhok Kashmirian area of ​​Rawalpindi and its surroundings for verification of residential details.

Joint combing operation was also conducted in Dinah late at night and 25 houses and 62 people were checked.

Five search operations in Attock, Hassan Abdal, Hazro, Pindi Gheb, Jind, Fateh Jang were conducted and residential records of citizens were verified.

As many as 98 people identified in joint operation in Chakwal and identity of 14 people was verified.

Over 160 personnel were deployed for security of 47 mosques in Murree and people were checked at 36 police pickets and 24 patrolling points.

For security of 172 mosques in Jhelum and its surroundings over 392 personnel are on duty while personnel on important intersections and GT Road were increased.
