A court in Islamabad on Saturday indicted former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) chief minister and PTI leader Ali Amin Gandapur in audio leaks case.
The former CM, however, pleaded not guilty.
Justice Nasruminallah Baloch also summoned witnesses from the prosecution at the next hearing besides cancelling the non-bailable arrest warrants issued for Gandapur after the PTI leader surrendered before the court.
A month ago, the court had initiated proceedings to declare the ex-chief minister proclaimed offender (PO) in the case besides issuing his non-bailable arrest warrants.
The judge had ordered the police to arrest him and produce him in the court.
While co-accused in the case appeared in court, Gandapur remained absent, prompting the court to defer the indictment proceedings until today (February 21).
It is to be noted here that the case was registered against Gandapur at Golra Police Station of Islamabad after an audio leak surfaced in which the ex-chief minister was purportedly asking about the number of weapons, licences, and people.
