NAB Lahore has approached the Accountability Court Lahore for final approval to close the investigation into Chaudhry Sugar Mills case involving Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif.
In light of the orders of the Lahore High Court, NAB Lahore filed an application in the Accountability Court. NAB requested that final approval be given to close the investigation in light of the orders of the High Court dated February 4. The Accountability Court took action and issued notices to the parties.
Lawyer Javed Arshad Bhatti submitted power of attorney on behalf of CM Maryam and Mian Nawaz Sharif. Accountability Court Judge Rana Muhammad Arif heard the petition. The court adjourned the hearing till March 9.
