Sarfaraz Bugti urges Balochistan tribes to stand with security forces

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti has called on all tribal communities across the province to support the country’s security forces, stressing that peace is essential for development and stability.

Speaking to media outside the Balochistan Assembly, the chief minister strongly condemned the killing of women in Buleda and said such incidents were unacceptable. He urged tribal leaders and residents to cooperate with law enforcement agencies to maintain peace in their areas.

His remarks came after unidentified attackers reportedly opened fire on a house in Turbat, killing six people, including a woman. The incident has raised fresh concerns about security in parts of the province.

Bugti said that lasting progress is only possible through peace, adding that the situation in Dera Bugti had improved significantly due to the efforts of local tribes and residents. He encouraged people in other districts to follow the same example and work together to ensure stability and prosperity across Balochistan.

Moreover, A grand jirga was held in the Mamond area of Bajaur where tribal elders renewed their commitment to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistan Army for the protection of the country.

The event was organized by Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa North and attended by the IGFC North, officials from the civil administration, tribal elders, and a large number of local residents.

During the jirga, participants paid tribute to the sacrifices of the Pakistan Army for restoring peace in the region. The elders pledged that they would continue to support security forces and were ready to make any sacrifice necessary for the homeland.

The officials informed the gathering that intelligence-based operations were underway in the area to counter the presence of militants. The tribal elders expressed full cooperation and assured that they would stand firm with the armed forces.

The crowd also raised slogans in favor of Pakistan and the Pakistan Army, while thanking the forces for organizing the jirga and ensuring the timely return of displaced families.

Earlier, The Bajaur district administration has asked residents of several villages and towns to relocate temporarily. This comes ahead of a planned operation against terrorists in the region.
