Iranian Defense Minister and IRGC killed in Israeli-US strikes

Iranian Defense Minister Amir Nasserzadeh was reportedly killed in a joint Israeli and American attack, along with Mohammad Pakpour, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), according to Israeli military claims.

The Israeli army described the operation as unprecedented in scale, targeting Iran’s defense systems in what officials called a major strategic strike. Israeli commanders said the operation was larger and more comprehensive than previous military actions in the region.

In response, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told American media that while Iran may have lost some commanders, the strikes are considered unprovoked, illegal, and a violation of international law. He emphasized that Iran’s actions are defensive and lawful, and the country is fully capable of protecting itself without external assistance.

Araghchi added that Iran has had bitter experiences in past negotiations with the United States and views targeting American bases in the region as a legitimate self-defense measure. He called for international condemnation of the attacks and reiterated that Iran’s response will focus on defending its sovereignty and security.

Moreover, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced a major retaliatory operation against the United States and Israel, naming it “Operation Wa’d-e-Sadiq 4.” The operation reportedly targeted several American military bases across the region, including the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet stationed in Bahrain.

According to Iranian state media, the strikes also hit U.S. bases in Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, as well as military installations in central Israel. The IRGC described the operation as a response to aggression by the U.S. military and the Israeli government.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guards stated that missile and drone attacks would continue as part of the ongoing operation. Officials emphasized that the campaign is aimed at key regional targets to defend Iran’s interests and deter further actions by what they called “hostile forces.”

This escalation marks one of the most significant regional military operations by Iran in recent years, raising international concern over the potential for further conflict in the Middle East.

Moreover, The Middle East has entered a dangerous new phase of confrontation after Iran launched missile and drone attacks across the Gulf in retaliation for joint US and Israeli strikes on its territory. The escalation has raised fears of a wider regional war and triggered emergency responses across multiple countries.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that it had begun a first wave of retaliatory operations. Officials warned that all US bases and American interests in the region are within range. Soon after the announcement, explosions were reported in Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.
