An international online survey released by China Global Television Network (CGTN) claims that a vast majority of global internet users have condemned the recent joint US-Israeli military strikes on Iran.
According to the poll, 93.9% of respondents described the action as a violation of Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Many participants called for an immediate halt to military operations to prevent further escalation in an already volatile region.
The survey was conducted shortly after the strikes, which reportedly took place while diplomatic engagements between Washington and Tehran were ongoing. Around 86.8% of those surveyed criticised the United States for increasing military pressure during negotiations, arguing that such moves weaken diplomatic efforts and reflect unilateral power politics.
Nearly 80% of respondents said the use of force is ineffective in resolving international disputes. They warned that military action often intensifies hostility and reduces the space for meaningful dialogue.
The findings also highlighted growing concerns over regional stability. About 90% of participants expressed fear that the fragile peace process in the Middle East could deteriorate rapidly if tensions continue to rise.
In addition, 94.7% said policies that disregard international norms and multilateral frameworks could erode global trust and destabilise the broader international system.
The poll gathered 23,464 responses within 24 hours. It was published across CGTN’s English, Spanish, French, Arabic and Russian digital platforms.
