Police in Tughal Khel area of Bannu on Wednesday foiled a plan to carry out a terror attack by defusing seven kilos of explosives placed in a bucket on the road connecting Bannu to Lakki Marwat.
As soon as they received information, police and the bomb disposal squad reached the site.
The law-enforcement agencies are on a high alert these days owing to the incidents of terrorism that are quite frequent in KP and Balochistan, and which have prompted the Pakistan Army to launch attacks against the sanctuaries of militants inside Afghanistan.
