Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has said that PM invited parliamentary leaders and leadership of all parties and detailed briefing was given on the regional situation regarding Afghanistan and Iran and head of all political parties expressed their opinions.
Addressing the National Assembly meeting, Tariq Fazal said that PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Maulana Fazlur Rehman also expressed their opinion.
He lauded the decision of the Prime Minister to take all the parties into confidence over regional tension. He said that first the Foreign Office gave briefing, after which the Foreign Minister also briefed the participants.
To a question about absence of PTI leadership, Tariq Fazl Ch said that the PTI should not resorted to boycott. He said on the advice of PM Shehbaz, Rana Sana and he went to PTI and officially invited them to meeting but he lamented that PTI was more concerned over the health of Imran Khan instead of Pakistan and regional peace.
Tariq Fazl said that due to the current situation in Middle East, Pakistan need to think of it instead of political issues.
Federal Minister said that Pakistan was a strong voice of peace in the region. He said Pakistan gave huge sacrifices for Afghanistan and accommodated thousands of Afghan refugees for years. He said operation against Afghan regime will continue till the mission is fulfilled. Tariq Fazl said only targeted operation was being conducted against terrorists in Afghanistan. He said that Pakistan always gave a befitting reply to aggression made by India and
PTI MNA Ali Muhammad Khan told NA said that Iran was a lame excuse, Pakistan is real target of Israeli and America. He said if Iran is hit-hard it will deal a blow to Pakistan.
PTI MNA said that Israeli forces have targeted children and innocent civilian, adding that 170 school girls were martyred in the bombing.
He questioned the PM to tell the lawmakers what is position of Pakistan in current situation. He urged the government to free PTI founder Imran Khan, and all stakeholders should sit together to give a unified point of view on regional tension.
