Jawad Ahmed, a renowned Pakistani singer from the 1990s and current political figure heading the Barabri Party, has sparked controversy again with his aggressive behavior during a recent interview. Known for his outspoken and often provocative statements, Ahmed has targeted politicians, fellow artists, and media personalities.
In an interview with GNN News, tensions flared when the anchor, Umer Bashir, referenced former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s popularity and Twitter following. Jawad Ahmed reacted angrily, verbally attacking the anchor, shouting, and ultimately walking out of the studio. He reportedly instructed the crew to remove the anchor from the room and labeled the journalist as “unprofessional” and “valueless.”
Clips from the interview quickly went viral on social media. Actor Imran Abbas commented on Instagram, praising the anchor’s patience: “I salute the patience of the anchor for bearing such behaviour.” Actress Mishi Khan added, “If psycho had a face, the anchor deserves an Oscar.”
Social media users have widely criticized Ahmed’s conduct. Many described his behavior as erratic and mentally unstable. Some accused him of harboring unnecessary grudges and spreading hate, which they said could have a negative impact on mental health. Others mocked his political ambitions, saying he dreams of leadership but cannot manage basic professionalism.
