27 Afghans among 100 suspects arrested in Islamabad operation

More than 100 suspicious persons, including 27 illegal Afghans, were arrested from the limits of different police stations during a grand search operation in Islamabad, it was reported on Friday.

According to report, search operations were conducted within the limits of seven police stations of the federal capital.

Search operations were conducted in the areas of police stations Hamak, Tarnol, Aabpara, Bihara Kahu, Noon, Koral and Sangjani.

During the search operation, 954 persons and 315 houses were checked while 71 shops and 22 hotels were also checked.

At the police pickets, as many as 191 motorcycles and 78 vehicles were checked and 20 motorcycles and vehicles were also shifted to police stations.

During the ongoing search operation, illegal weapons were also recovered and two criminal elements, including a proclaimed offender, were also arrested.
