Dry weather persists, light rain expected in parts of KP during next 24-hour

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Disaster Management Authority has issued light rain alert in most parts of the province during the next 24 hours on Friday.

According to PDMA, all Deputy Commissioners have been directed to take precautionary measures to avoid any human and material losses during the forecast period. Meanwhile, overall dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next week and there will be an unusual increase in temperature across the country during the next few days.

Amid dry weather in most districts of Punjab, light rain with gusty winds is expected at some places during March 9-11.

Potohar region including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum and Mianwali is likely to experience light rain and cloudy weather during March 9-11.

Weather is likely to remain dry and hot in most parts of Balochistan but light rain and cloudy weather expected in northern Balochistan including Quetta, Zhob, Ziarat and Kalat from March 7 to 9.Light rain expected in Chitral, Dir, Haripur, Karak, Kohat, Kohistan, Khyber, Kurram, Mansehra, Mohmand, Nowshera, Malakand, Charsadda, Abbottabad, Bannu, Buner, Peshawar, Swabi and surrounding areas.

Light rain and partly cloudy weather expected at a few places in Gilgit-Baltistan and various areas of Azad Kashmir from March 6 to 11.
