50 illegal Afghans arrested in Islamabad, Rawalpindi

Police have arrested 43 suspects and impounded 37 motorcycles and two vehicles during different grand combing operations against illegal Afghans in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, it was reported on Monday.

These search operations were conducted in the jurisdiction of Koral Police Station, Aabpara Police Station, Secretariat Police Station, Golra Police Station, Sabzi Mandi Police Station, LohiB hair Police Station, and Bani Gala Police Station.

Later, the police shifted the 43 suspicious people, 37 motorcycles, and the vehicle to different police stations.

As many as 784 suspicious people were searched, and 346 houses were checked. Three hotels and 52 shops were checked during the search operations. Documents of 115 motorcycles and 280 vehicles were scrutinized

7 arrested in Rawalpindi

As many as five people were taken into custody in a joint operation of police, Elite Force, Dolphin, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), Murree, Jhelum, and Chakwal.

50 houses and 55 people were checked out of them, and five were taken into custody.

52 houses and 31 hotels were checked in the Murree area, Kotli Satayan, and Bhagwari Bazar.
Checking of 177 houses and 463 people in Chak Bahrin, Kala Gujran, Chak Akka, and Jada Chowk of Jhelum.

Cases were registered against two people in Jhelum under the Rental Act. 53 houses and 127 people were checked in Talagang.

Police arrested two proclaimed offenders from Murree.  Two proclaimed offenders were arrested in the Talagang, Taman, and Lawah areas. Police recovered a pistol and a large number of bullets from their custody.

Security officials said that the operation against suspicious people will continue.
