13 Militants killed in security forces operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa carried out successful intelligence-based operations and killed 13 militants in different areas of the province. The operations were conducted after authorities received information about the presence of terrorists in the region.

According to the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations were launched in the districts of Bannu and Kurram. Security forces acted quickly after receiving intelligence reports about militant hideouts in these areas.

During the first operation in Bannu, security personnel surrounded a location where militants were reportedly hiding. A gun battle took place between the security forces and the terrorists. After the exchange of fire, eight militants were killed by the troops.

In another operation conducted in Kurram district, security forces targeted another group of terrorists. During the clash, five more militants were killed, bringing the total number of militants eliminated in the two operations to thirteen.

The ISPR stated that the militants were involved in several attacks against security forces and civilians in the past. During the operations, security personnel also recovered weapons and ammunition from the militants.

After completing the operations, security forces continued search and clearance activities in the surrounding areas to ensure that no other militants were hiding there. These follow-up actions are part of routine procedures to maintain safety and stability in the region.

The government and military officials said that such intelligence-based operations are an important part of the country’s ongoing efforts to eliminate terrorism. These operations help prevent possible attacks and weaken militant networks.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for their successful operations. He appreciated the bravery and professionalism of the troops and said the entire nation stands with them in the fight against terrorism.
